On a routine basis, it’s normal to clean your home — wipe the dust off the tabletops, vacuum the floor, brush the dirt on the bathroom tiles. It’s essential to tidy up your space as often as possible. But did you know that one important part of the household gets little attention most of the time, and sometimes get neglected?
Your air conditioner service needs attention too, and some thorough cleaning. One of the toughest air conditioning performance problems is dust built up. You don’t easily see it, but it’s there and the greater the buildup, the bigger chances of spending a lot on repairs. How to Reduce Dust in Your House | AC ServiceAlthough regular cleaning takes care of dust and dirt build up, sometimes it isn’t enough. Many people think that if they get the air ducts cleaned and sealed properly will solve the problem, however, this isn’t always the case and a sudden system breakdown might come as a surprise. A dust-free duct is a good practice, but eliminating the cause of buildup is much more effective. Tips in Keeping Your Space Dust-FreeFind the right vacuum cleaner. Unsurprisingly, one of the primary causes of spreading dust around your house is vacuuming. Some particles pass through the vacuum filter and go airborne, floating around waiting until they settle back down on your furniture or for you to breathe those particles in. You can’t let your own body do the filtering. And of course, they can stick to your home air conditioning service like a piece of gum. Find a vacuum cleaner with a good HEPA filter and don’t forget to change them every six months or less. Avoid using fabric softeners on cleaning rags. You might have a collection of cleaning rags and microfiber cloths that you use when cleaning. These cleaning essentials are easy to use and you can reuse them anytime. Avoid using fabric softeners or dryer sheets when washing and drying these rags. These products have chemicals in them that make the fabrics less effective in picking up dust and become less absorbent. Can you imagine the amount of dust that will end up in your air conditioner service Fresno? Clean up or upgrade your AC filters. Your AC service’s best defense against invading contaminants is a highly efficient filter. Dust is always present in your home, but with a quality filter, you can slow down the rate of dust accumulation. A high-quality paper or pleated fabric filter is ideal and can be cleaned or replaced every 3–6 months. Air Pollutants Can Harm Your Air Conditioning SystemCompletely eliminating dust, dirt, and other pollutants can be a tough case to crack. But with a few tricks and some helpful tips, you can keep a good amount of dust off of your AC. Marthedal Solar, Air & Heating encourages homeowners to take extra care of their cooling and heating systems without spending too much time and effort. This can be done through a regular maintenance visit and routine tune-up. Learn how you can take advantage of is program and extend the longevity of your system. Call us today! hat is the major difference between a ductless AC service and a ducted air conditioning service? It’s the installation cost.
For homeowners and businesses looking for practical and cost-effective ways to cut down electricity usage, a ductless HVAC system can be much more efficient and consistent in providing comfort. This is because the main components of this type air conditioner are typically a wall-mounted indoor unit combined with an outside compressor, which means one can save on planning, installation, and maintenance of HVAC ducts. Save on Installation | Keep Your AC Service Rolling You may have heard of ductless cooling, or sometimes referred to as split systems or mini-splits, but you’ve never researched why this type of cooling system is widely adopted in other parts of the world while gaining more popularity in the country. Now is the time to wonder why it’s becoming a preferred option in many homes and businesses. Now, here’s why: Better Temperature Control – With split systems, you have full control over where you would like to place the unit and how many units you want. And since you can place the unit anywhere you want within your home, you can skip the stress and hassle of reconstructing your home to give space to the ducts. Also, you can strategically place them in areas where it’s naturally warmer and still maintain the desired temperature. Compared to a centralized unit, you have a complete control. Environment-Friendly – Carbon footprint older units are often associated with is a major issue, especially now that environmentalists are getting more proactive in protecting the environment. You can do share in protecting Mother Nature when using a mini-split Clovis air conditioning. These units can be placed in specific rooms without cooling areas that are not in use. The amount of energy used with this setup is significantly lower and effectively reducing environmental impact. Savings on Unit Installation – If we count the pros of using this system, the installation process will probably rank first. How so? For one, this type of AC system requires little time and effort to install in your home. The technician can finish the job in significantly less time than they would with a traditional model. You can have a new AC in a single day! And lastly, Substantial Savings – Savings, savings, savings. That’s what’s most beneficial when going ductless. Their centralized counterparts eat up energy and bills will shoot up, and there’s no undoing it because households need to cool down when summer is just unforgivingly hot. Whereas mini-splits need far lesser energy to operate efficiently. You’ll see a huge drop in your monthly bills once you switch to a split type.

What nightmares will you have this summer? Is it an air conditioner in Clovis that produces a weird noise or a frozen AC on a hot summer day? It’s counter-intuitive to think of your cooling system freezing up when it’s working all day to cool down your home to the desired temperature. But there is an explanation for this occurrence.
Inside your AC, the refrigerant expands causing the evaporator coil to cool rapidly. When the cooled coil comes into contact with your home’s air, the refrigerant will absorb the hot air. The refrigerant is then transported out of the house where it is compressed, successfully transferring the heat outside your house. This cycle repeats endlessly, thus effectively cooling down your home.
When something causes an alteration to this cycle, your air conditioner service might end up cooling the evaporator coil more than it should and causes the freezing of the unit. This is a common case in both residential and commercial HVAC systems.
What Causes The Air Conditioner to Freeze Up?Low Refrigerant Pressure | Air Conditioner ServiceThe refrigerant chlorodifluoromethane, also known as R22, has different physical properties at various levels of pressure. Normally, R22 is passed through the lines at a temperature where condensation occurs outside of the line. If something disrupts this process and the pressure within the system changes, the change can cause the refrigerant to perform differently. If this is the case, when the warm air is passed over the evaporator, the moisture will freeze on the coils and ice will begin to form. Little ice formation may not affect the performance of the AC, but too much can affect the airflow. The ice will then act as an insulator and will prevent your Clovis air conditioning from fully functioning, and the refrigerant will evaporate faster as a result. When this happens, the air conditioner can’t freeze the line and you’ll end up with no cooled air at all! Insufficient Airflow in the Evaporator CoilThe main job of the AC is to drop the temperature in your home by extracting the heat from it. If the AC fails to effectively extract the heat and is unable to blow it over to the evaporator coil, then the heat exchange doesn’t happen. If this continues, the temperature will drop and might lead to a frozen AC. Blower Fan is DamagedBecause cold air is dense and doesn’t move through well, the blower fan pushes the cooled air out of the unit and into your living space at the same time sucking warm air out. When the blower fan breaks or malfunctions, it significantly changes the airflow within the AC resulting in too much condensation building up on the coils, while water droplets will not evaporate or drain properly. This problem can severely damage your cooling unit.
